Thanks to Home Herb and Garden CEO Patrick OBrien The easiest way to keep the grill clean is to heat it up before cooking, each time. When hot, use a long handled brush or crumpled up alfoil and rub any loose stuff off the grill. I clean my grill plate after every BBQ, I scrape off the plate while still hot, then using a damp cloth, wipe down the plate, using the scraper with the cloth wrapped around it. I then spray lightly with cooking oil. That way the plate is clean next time it is used. At least once a year, twice is better, you should dismantle your BBQ completely and clean thoroughly. About Patrick OBrien: Patrick is a retired Master Butcher and businessman who also has broad horticultural experience. He has owned a restaurant, commercially grown organic vegetables, and he operated a herb nursery for many years.
