I happened upon this book title in reviewing Ron Saxen's book, "The Good Eater" and decided to contact Dr. Nash for a review copy since Ron wrote so enthusiastically about it.
Well, I was not disappointed. Dr. Nash has left nothing out when explaining "disordered eating" and binges. She has created a wonderful guide for those with eating problems explaining each type of disorder, triggers for binge eating, and behavior patterns. Dr. Nash also includes many helpful work charts such as "Body Image History", "Daily Eating Behavior Record" and "What my Voices say to me".
Also helpful is the chapter on "Challenging Problem Thinking" to help change your "Self Talking" patterns. Dr. Nash delves into identifying your inner voices and how to take control of your self-talk.
The chapter on "Coping with Distressing Situations", among others will help you improve your coping skills. Dr. Nash also gives some helpful advice on how to overcome a relapse.
All in all, Dr. Nash's book, "Binge No More" is a wonderful resource for all who have, or think they have, an eating disorder. This is definitely a must read to help you on the road to recovery.
