How to make hot and cold wraps

Suffering from sore muscles? Want to know how to make a hot and cold wrap? Here's an easy way to create those popular hot/cold wraps. They're microwavable, freezable, flexible, reusable, and soooooo wonderful to sooth that aching shoulder or swollen ankle!

Cut a piece of leftover fabric, approximately 12" x 14". Fold the 12" length in half to make the width 7". Sew around three edges to leave a long end open. Turn and press. Sew evenly spaced "channels" from the bottom up to about 3/4" from the open top, wide enough to pour in your rice (regular white rice, not instant). Just before pouring the rice into the channels, mix several drops of essential oil in with the rice. After pouring in the rice mixture into each channel, fold over the top and sew to close, double stitching to avoid losing any rice.

Place your new wrap in the microwave and heat on high for about 1-1/2 minutes. Or you can keep the wrap in the freezer for the next time Junior bruises his knee!
