Don't have time for the 3-5 workouts a week to spend in the gym? Is your time limited? Want to spend 20-30 minutes only once a week to lose weight and tone up? I needed answers to all these problems too; that's when Gary Matthews' book "Maximum Weight Loss in Ten Weeks" caught my eye.
It's written in an easy to read, easy to follow format complete with photos and well-explained exercises and programs. Everything Gary says makes perfect sense and his method works because I've been steadily losing weight for the last 5 weeks since I started following the instructions in his book. Not only that, but I feel more energetic and I'm accomplishing more things during my day, and I'm not even hungry!
If you're over 50 like I am, there's an additional bonus to this easy workout - you're also strengthening your bones and minimizing bone loss so there's less chance for osteoporosis.
I've already started to see changes in my body - my arms, legs, my abs are getting more toned. I am so happy with this book, having tried so many other programs and diets before. Just 20-30 minutes a week is all you need for his fitness technique.
Gary goes on to explain all about Nutrition for Weight Loss and how to lose weight without being hungry. He has quite an extensive Nutitional Chart with food names listed in alphabetical order along with fat grams, calories, carbs, protein and cholesterol for each food. There's a separate Nutritional Chart for food at your favorite fast food restaurant along with the calories and fat grams for each listing.
At the end of his book Gary gives us some handy Fitness and Weight Loss Tools to print and use, as a bonus. There's a Training Log to record your workouts, a Goal Setting Log for short and long-term goals for exercising, weight loss and body fat loss, a Seven Day Eating Plan or Food Diary (by the way, I've found using a food diary the absolute best way to stay on track with your diet. I know that anything I eat must go into my food diary - believe me, your mind gets well-trained - and more often than not this makes me refuse to eat something that I have an urge for because I KNOW I have to write it in my diary!)
All this, along with Gary's Helpful Tips for Successful Workouts, the best way to Stretch along with stretching exercises, Dangerous Exercises to Avoid, Weight Loss Methods and Gimmicks, how to Set Goals for Fitness and Weight loss and Visuazation Techniques for Weight Loss, will give you the confidence and motivation to start this wonderful program.
