Marvelous Meringues and Macaroons

Magic Mushrooms (!?)

Make up a batch of these and they'll 'magically' disappear
(and you thought I was going to say something else as a description - didn't you!)


Ingredients:

1 batch of Basic Meringue Kisses

*~*~*~*~*

Instructions:

Shape mushroom caps in rounds onto cookie sheet, using pastry bag.
Shape an equal amount of mushroom stems onto cookie sheet, again using a pastry bag.
Bake as for basic recipe.

Remove from cookie sheet and “glue” a mushroom stem to the underside of a cap
by dipping stem into melted chocolate or Royal Icing (see our Chocolate eCookbook)
and pressing under mushroom cap before the chocolate or icing hardens.
Let each pair dry then dust mushroom caps with sifted cocoa powder.
