How to Care for PeaVey, your Pet Computer Virus!
You will notice in his Care Manual that you are instructed not to "release your Pet Virus or it will corrupt your hard drive." We have found that as long as he is sitting in his container on top of your monitor he should not cause any problems to your system at all. The best way to observe Peavey is to rest his container on top of your monitor. You then can open the lid, keeping the inside flaps horizontal so that your Pet Virus can sit directly on the flaps, resting his back against the lid. This way, Peavey can sit in his open container and view his surroundings (if you turn the container sideways it seems that he's sitting in a chair, cosy as can be!) Once Peavey is perched on your monitor and you want to deter unwelcomed guests from approaching your computer, you can set up the following screen saver - the background lime green matches the green Pet Virus perfectly. Go to start - settings - control panel - display - screen saver - scrolling marquee - settings (choose lime green) - and type in the text: "Touch my computer and I'll throw my Pet Virus at your hard drive !!!" - format text(choose any font and size you'd like, personally I like Comic Sans MS and 72) - font color(choose black). Choose OK to all and apply. Now view your new screen saver with Peavey perched up on top of your monitor! (note you can also choose pink or yellow as a background to match other Pet Virus colors but unfortunately orange sunburn is not an option (oh well - maybe in the future)! Users' comments: "I haven't had any trouble with viruses since I "installed" Peavey on my monitor and I haven't had to use my Virus Panic Button yet!" . . .Mr. D. Frag; "I look at my Pet Virus sitting on top of my monitor and it picks up my spirits after a hard day on the computer!" . . . Ms. K. Bytes; "The only time I hear him is when he snores" . . . Mrs. Dee Fault (I could't figure out whether she meant her Pet Virus or her husband) See PeaVey, the Pet Virus, in his very own Comic Strip ! When you receive your new Pet Virus you must feed him shredded printouts as soon as possible to keep his coat the shiny fluorescent color that it normally is.
